Work Package 13: Evaluation & Usability

WP13 was required to produce a report linking trends of use and development in institutional portal deployment. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used in order to ascertain the usefulness of different features implemented in institutional portals at a selection of universities and FE colleges in the UK. Institutions in the US were also approached, but the timing of the study led to limited response.
